Anne Zuerner is a dancer, choreographer and teacher who has been living and working in New York City since 2002. Her choreography has been chosen as a Time Out New York Critic’s Pick and has been called “wildly beautiful” by the New York Times. She has been commissioned by Danspace Project and presented by Dance New Amsterdam, Movement Research at the Judson Church, The Invisible Dog, Fleet Moves Dance Festival, The Great Friends Dance Festival, Triskelion Arts and The Evergreens Cemetery. Her dance projects have received grants from the Brooklyn Arts Council and a fellowship from Summer Stages Dance. As an arts educator, Anne has worked for Lincoln Center Education, The New Victory Theater, Center for Arts Education, Brooklyn Arts Exchange and Cynthia King Dance Studio. In 2017, Anne graduated from The Lincoln Center Scholars program at Hunter College with a Masters in Dance Education. Anne is the dance teacher at MS 358 in Jamaica, Queens.

Martita Abril (Performer) is a performer, choreographer, and teaching artist from Tijuana, México. She earned her BFA from San Diego State University and has worked with dance artists and companies throughout México, the U.S. and Ecuador, including a number of projects and performances with Lux Boreal, Allyson Green Dance, Khosro Adibi, Will Rawls, Daria Fain, and Yanira Castro. She was named a PECDA Scholar as a “Young Creator” by the State of Baja California and awarded the national FONCA 2012-2013 fellowship. Since relocating to New York in 2013, Martita was selected for the Fresh Tracks Residency at New York Live Arts and for the Immigrant Artist Program at New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), then in 2015 she was a mentor for the NYFA Immigrant Artist Program. Her work has been commissioned by New York Live Arts, and presented at Movement Research @ Judson Church, New York Foundation for the Arts, HERE Arts Center, Mascher Space Co-op in Philadelphia, The Lumen Festival, and site-specifics throughout NYC and Brooklyn. Chris Braz (Performer) is a Detroit transplant living in Brooklyn, NY. Braz received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Wayne State University. Originally a child actor, Chris trained with artists in-residence at the Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and performed with the renowned Youth Ensemble of Atlanta Theatre Company. He has had the opportunity to work with several dance artists, including: Dwight Rhoden, Jillian Pena, Vanessa Tamburi, Biba Bell, Nathan Trice, Wanjiru Kamuyu, Katy Pyle and others at The Joyce Theatre, St. Marks Danspace Project inc., Alwan Center for Arts, Dixon Place, The Wild Project for The Current Sessions Series and Governor's Island. Currently Chris is dancing with Katy Pyle's Ballez in the production of "Sleeping Beauty and The Beast". Chris believes in the fusion of dance and theatre to create powerful art. Galen Bremer (Composer) is a composer and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. His work focuses on experimental contemporary music using noise, improvisation, modular synthesis, and elements of performance art. He appears on recordings with New York art rock band Forest Fire on FatCat records, and participates in a long form collaboration with choreographer Anne Zuerner, creating music for dance. Sara Gurevich (Performer and Costume Designer), native New Yorker, is a performance artist whose work has recently been presented at BAX Upstart Festival, Dixon Place, Movement Research's Open Performance, Green Space, and WAXworks. She is the recipient of a 2016 New York Mills Artist Residency in Minnesota. Gurevich's work has been also been presented at Fleet Moves Dance Festivals (MA) and FAB! Festival (NYC). She has performed in works by Itzik Galili, Abigail Levine, Troy Ogilvie, Samar Haddad King, and Alex Ketley, among others. Ainesh Madan (Performer) is a New York based artist, born and raised in various parts of India. He began dancing at the Shiamak Davar’s Institute for the Performing Arts, as part of the Special Potential Batch. He then moved to Singapore to study theatre. Ainesh graduated from Bard College on an exhaustive scholarship, receiving a BA in Dance and Economics. Ainesh has performed at the ACT Theatre, Seattle, and at the Park Avenue Armory, New York. Penelope McCourty (Performer) is a facilitator of creative process and community sharing through the art forms of dance and performance. She has worked artistically and administratively with several locally and nationally known dance companies and community arts organizations. As a performer and teacher she was a member of Marlies Yearby’s Movin’ Spirits Dance Theater (1995-1999), Liz Lerman Dance Exchange (1999-2002), and Reggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group (2002-2006.) Her choreographic work has been presented at St. Mark’s Church, Joyce Soho, Chicago’s Links Hall, BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Spoke the Hub Dancing, Towson University and San Francisco State University. She is the recipient of the 2014 NYU/Steinhardt School Exemplary Teaching Artist Award and the Elders Share the Arts Visionary Artist Award. Penelope lives in Brooklyn and is the middle and upper school dance teacher at The Berkeley Carroll School in Park Slope. She currently teaches residencies and professional development workshops through New Victory Theater and Park Avenue Armory’s Artist Corps.
Jenna Purcell (Performer) Jenna grew up dancing in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated cum laude from UC Santa Cruz, where she had the pleasure of working with Mark Franko, Sommer Ulrickson, Ted Warburton, Tandy Beal & Co, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Since relocating to New York City, she has performed with Mare Nostrum Elements, Beth Liebowitz & Artists, ChrisMastersDance, Megan Bascom & Dancers, and Third Rail Projects. In addition to working with Anne Zuerner, she currently dances for Donofrio Dance Company and caitlin+dancers (Caitlin Dutton).
Phoebe Rose Sandford (Performer) is a modern dancer and singer with a background in classical ballet. She received her BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she choreographed several pieces and danced in works by notable choreographers such as Trisha Brown,Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Deborah Jowitt, and Gus Solomons Jr. Phoebe is a certified yoga teacher with The Perri Institute for Mind and Body, and she teaches a melee of dance and yoga at Cynthia King Dance Studio, the Y, and Soma Health Club. She is a founding member of RedCurrant Collective, and in addition to dancing and choreographing for her collective, she has performed with mishiDance, The Charles Weidman Foundation, AMS Project, and Dances for a Variable Population. Theatre credits include Where Have All the Glaciers Gone? with Erin Mee, Versailles 2015 with This Is Not a Theatre Company, Far Away at the Schapiro Theater, and The Bride Project (reading) with Lonesome George. Phoebe has presented her own work at La MaMa, Gibney Dance Center, and Cameo Gallery and was the choreographer and co-director for A Presentation by the People of Lake Victory for Our Leader at The Gym at Judson. Zoe Rabinowitz (Rehearsal Director) is a freelance dance artist based in New York City. Originally from Vermont, Zoe earned her BFA in Dance from the Ailey/Fordham BFA program, and studied abroad at De Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Holland. She has since performed with companies such as INSPIRIT, JoAnna Mendl Shaw/ Equus Projects, Nia Love/ Blacksmith’s Daughter and Urban Bush Women. Current projects include collaborations with Anne Zuerner, MBDance, the Movement Party, and Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre, where Zoe is a founding member and Associate Director. Her own choreography has been shown at the Women in Motion Salon Series in New York City and the Fleet Moves Dance Festival in Cape Cod.
